Welcome to the UHN Learner System to begin your registration at UHN (TGH/TWH/PMH/TRI)
. You must already be registered at your university or college before completing your registration for your hospital-based placement on UMLearns.
As of July 2020, to register for placements at Sinai Health (Mount Sinai Hospital or Bridgepoint), you are required to use Sinai Health NirvSystem, not UMLearns
. Registration on NirvSystem is by invitation only, i.e. to register you must first receive an invitation email from email@example.com
which will be sent to you no earlier than three weeks before your rotation start date.
If you have rotations/classes at both UHN and MSH, you will have to register separately using both UMLearns and Sinai Health NirvSystem.
Please be advised that UMLearns has recently undergone some major changes.
Learners with active placements can sign into UMLearns to see their email information on their profile page (look for your UPN under the Network Login tab).
At this time, the following learners will not be receiving UHN emails:
Learners with emails attached to a TID that is different from the one listed in their UMLearns account should reach out to the issuing Department for support.
Please see below for when your email account will be available:
- Group learners
- Learners that are at UHN for less than two weeks
- Learners who already had email addresses prior to January 18, 2021
Beginning March 9 2021, clinical learners will automatically receive a UHN email account as part of the registration process. Returning learners that already have an email address tied to their UMLearns TID will receive an automatic access extension for the duration of their new placement.

Beginning June 2020, all learners registering at UHN must complete mandatory e-learning modules through UHN MyLearning. IMPORTANT: If you have previously completed modules through UHN MyLearning using a staff username e.g. UHN##### or UHNMD#####, please contact Medical Education at MedicalEducation@uhn.ca

(for Health Professions Learners Learners) for approval.
